One of the key target demographics of the eSkills for Jobs campaign is jobseekers: while rates of unemployment remain persistently high, Europe will experience a shortage of up to 825,000 ICT professionals by 2020. It is one thing for statistics to demonstrate that eSkills provide an anveue to employment, the eSkills for Jobs project want to showcase some of the stories of real jobseekers who have found a job by working on their digital skills.

Each week, eSkills for Jobs will highlight case studies of jobseekers from across Europe securing employment thanks to their digital skills. The stories, which come from eSkills for Jobs stakeholders working in the technology industry, will show real-world examples of how acquiring digital skills can give jobseekers the edge in today’s competitive jobs market.
