Who can participate?

Teachers enrolled in the MOOC course Developing Digital Skills in your Classroom of European Schoolnet Academy. In order to submit the video, teachers have to have successfully completed the course.

If you believe you can demonstrate:

  • a remarkable use of ICT for teaching;
  • an innovative way of developing students' digital skills;
  • a cross-curricular approach to teaching digital skills.

The rules are simple:

Produce a 3min (max) video presenting a lesson or activity that focuses on developing the digital skills of your students.

Submission steps:

N.B! A video cannot contain offensive, abusive, sexually explicit or other inappropriate content.

A video cannot contain any material to promote sale of a product or service.

The winners will be selected on the basis of:

  • Number of likes & shares on the eSkills for Jobs YouTube channel; and
  • A jury composed of ICT and educational experts.

Deadline for submission of videos is 31 August 2016.

Selection of competition winners and awards: One winner and one runner-up will be selected. Winners and runners-up will be notified about the result of the competition via email in September 2016.

All eSkills video competition winners and runners-up will be announced and awarded during the High level  eSkills conference in Bratislava in October 2016. Travel and accommodation expenses for one winner and one runner-up will be covered by the eSkills for Jobs campaign.

Success stories about the winners and runners-up will be disseminated on the campaign social media networks, website and press release.


  • The winner and runner-up will be awarded during the eSkills conference on 17 October 2016 in Bratislava. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the eSkills for Jobs campaign.
  • The winner will have the possibility to participate to an online professional development course provided by an international company (expenses covered).
  • The runner up will receive a tablet.
  • The videos of both winner and runner up will be disseminated on the campaign social media networks and website.

Be creative!

You can use any production technique or genre that you prefer- e.g., animation, documentary, experimental or artistic video, or a combination of techniques or genre.

Spread the word!

Once your video has been disseminated on the eSkills You Tube channel, we encourage you to promote your video on social media platforms using #eskills and tag @eSkills4Jobs (on Twitter and Facebook).
