Who can participate?

Entrepreneurs working on creative entrepreneurial projects building on ICT tools and/or media and eSkills.

If you believe you can demonstrate:

  • Involvement in a successful entrepreneurial endeavour, thanks to the use of ICT and digital skills;
  • Entrepreneurial involvement through the use of ICT for the benefit of end-users and society (social, environmental, humanitarian, etc.)
  • That you have developed your own or a new start up business through the use of ICT tools and eSkills;
  • An innovative idea to improve an existing process/service using ICT tools and eSkills.

The rules are simple:

Produce a 1min 30 sec (max) video presenting a creative entrepreneurial project building on ICT tools and/or media.

Submission steps:

  1. To enter the competition you need to produce a 1 min 30 seconds (max) video, including the eSkills for Jobs 2015-2016 campaign logo.
  2. Upload the video on your YouTube channel.
  3. Submit your nomination by completing the submission form with the required information, including the link to your video and your email address.

N.B! A video cannot contain offensive, abusive, sexually explicit or other inappropriate content. A video cannot contain any material to promote sale of a product or service.

All eligible submitted videos will be disseminated through the eSkills for Jobs YouTube channel. The winners will be selected on the basis of:

  • Number of likes & shares on the eSkills for Jobs YouTube channel; and
  • A jury composed of communication experts and policy makers.

N.B! The submission of videos for the Digital Entrepreneurship category is closed!

Selection of competition winners and awards:

One winner and one runner-up will be selected per each category. Winners and runners-up will be notified about the result of the competition via email in mid-November 2015.

All eSkills video competition winners and runners-up will be announced and awarded during the High level Luxembourg Presidency eSkills conference on Monday 14 December 2015 in Luxembourg. Travel and accommodation expenses for one winner and one runner-up will be covered by the eSkills for Jobs campaign.

Success stories about the winners and runners-up will be disseminated on the campaign social media networks, website and press release.

Awards: 

The winner and runner-up will be awarded during the eSkills conference on Monday 14 December 2015 in Luxembourg. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the eSkills for Jobs campaign. Your animation will be disseminated on the campaign social media networks, website and press release. The winner and the runner-up will receive additional prizes.

Winner:

The winner of the Digital Entrepreneurship category will receive:

  • A tablet, sponsored by Fujitsu

  • A course on the fundamentals of IT Service Management (ITSM) based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®). This certification is recognised internationally and is inclusive of the voucher to take the exam. The course will be provided via an e-learning platform and the course documentation will be provided via ebook. This prize is sponsored by HPE

Runner-up:

The runner-up of the Digital Entrepreneurship category will receive a tablet, sponsored by Samsung    

 

Useful tips:

Be creative!
You can use any production technique or genre that you prefer- e.g., animation, documentary, experimental or artistic video, or a combination of techniques or genre.

Spread the word!
Once your video has been disseminated on the eSkills You Tube channel, we encourage you to promote your video on social media platforms using #eskills and tag @eSkills4Jobs (on Twitter and Facebook).
